She did her debut in the year 2012 with a second hand machine on a instalment and one tailor from a garage. Kirti Rathore made a humble beginning. An old machine with fresh ideas created wonders and brought her back to the glittering world of fashion. She started as a male apparel designer  and later added on kids collection , as her designs gradually were added to everybody’s wish list .She is a truly self made designer as she has never studied fashion designing .

Though she left NIFT Delhi after getting a call for RAS (Rajasthan Administrative Service) and later was got married at a very early age where she was not allowed to join the services but she never left her dream to be a designer. According to her experiences and talent doesn’t require any degree. And she proves this with her collections which has both design and aesthetic sensibility along artistic approach towards its presentation with a unique sense of individuality and uniqueness.

She has so far used in her collection Rajasthan’s colorful fabrics,  Kashmir’s  Embroidery.

She has  always tried to promote the forgotten Indian traditional embroidery and craft like  naturally dyed block prints, sanganeri prints and daboo prints, gottapatti , and tie and die work by her collection and has tried to appeal people to support the state by buying this beautiful craft & has always tried to give a makeover to western style by adding Indian grace to it.

"I went through the time when I was in total depression of not being abel to follow my dreams ..and considerd myself as a failure... I was always a career oriented person and this yearn of making my own mark always inspired me of doing something of my own being recognised by my own work rather then being known by my family background.There were years where I felt like a failure and wanted to end my life.
I was diagnosed by seviour depression where I had to undergo a treatment and medication for whole one year.
But it was actually really important for me to go through that, which inspired me to do a fresh start.

We all go through different phases of life, and only few dare to dream big, and turn problems to opportunities, and very few dare to swim against the tide and build their own name with a cause. Kirti Rathore has definitely made her own name where no women existed before, i:e. – designer men’s wear. She is known for the fit and cuts in men’s wear. Recently also won the prestigious “Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Ambedkar Award” award, for being the only female designer exclusive in men’s wear.

But none of it came so easy. Being a designer was her dream and the designs were her first love, which started from the childhood work on the costumes for idols of Sri Krishna and Radha. She entered into the prestigious NIFT for pursuing her dream to be the best designer, but unfortunately due to family issues, and a call from RAS she had to withdraw later. But who knew the destiny had something else stored, she was married off at a very early age but even after marriage and children, she nevertheless  gave up on her passion. And finally few years on, she started a small but humble beginning, without any financial support, from home in a garage portion with a second hand machine that too on instalment with one tailor. And the first order which came was of a men’s wear, and since then its history. Later, the lady with no formal qualification and degree on fashion, no knowledge of terms like ramp etc, has finally been into the news, articles for all her hard work and innovative works into men’s wear. She got her first break by getting an offer to showcase her collection at a reputed Fashion Week “Rajasthan Fashion Week” among big names and industry leads like - Ritu Kumar, Shahid Amir, and Leena Tipnis ,Anita Dongre. Her profile and designs were chosen by the brand ambassador of the show Mr. Vivek Oberoi, to walk as a show stopper. In the same show she had planned 10-15 especial kids to walk as shows toppers, and Vivek Oberoi not only agreed to this but told Kirti “you are a designer with a golden heart”.  Shows for a cause has been her continuous theme, and she is known in the industry, for that. There were times when people criticized her for her work as a men’s wear designer but this motivated her so much, that now the same people who criticized her are the ones who request her for the front rows  in her shows.

Her collection had lots of colours from Rajasthan, the rich colours and Heritge of Rajasthan has always inspired her ..her first collection.."The United Colors of Rajasthan” was a rage  in the Indian Fashion Industry. Pink was the colour which was used for the first time in men’s wear in Indian Fashion, her vision is to take her brand kirti Rathore across the Globe with rich heritage asethetics attached to it .

She believes in giving back to the society always. She has worked with Ujala Society of Blind to spread awareness of eye donation. She has contributed to socially responsible clothing  by supporting  the worthy social causes and those in need through financial donations and the donation of physical goods. She has always taken care of all the social and noble causes to work along with fashion. She has worked for the betterment of underprivileged students with  Touch Foundation and has supported the Rays and Faith organization which works for special kids and has  actively been associated with the Tara Homes Delhi and Bandra Community Center Mumbai for Underprivileged Kids, also working closely with HIV infected children and the cause "Mission Save Farmers”.
    
She has so far designed for many celebrities  from television to Bollywood  which is truly a dream come true. The designer has already marked her presence of success with her tie and die collection in Asia Kids Fashion Week 2017 where she was the only Indian Designer to be invited at Hong Kong & Vietnam. Her collection and shows have got a name in fashion industry but nothing succeeds like success and for her nothing is enough. She now dreams of showcasing her exclusive designs on the ramps of Paris, Milan and New York, revealing Rajasthan to the world. She started with one store at Jaipur and now has five new outlets in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, & Middle East.
    
In this male dominant society where even most of male apparel designers are men she has proved even women can design better for men. An old machine and own savings can result to big ideas and beautiful designs. She has not only introduced new colors for men but has broken a convention. She is a designer with a difference more of a trend setter. The designer is now looking at spreading her wings globally, while strengthening her domestic presence…
